How aFFirmFirst uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them.

Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 16, 2026

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the site owners. aFFirmFirst keeps its use of cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) to a deliberate minimum, and asks for your permission before setting anything that is not essential.

2. Our Cookie Philosophy

We are a security-first company. We do not sell your data, and we do not use data-broker or profiling cookies. Our analytics are first-party: the data is collected by our own servers and stored in our own database, rather than being handed to an advertising network.

Nothing beyond the strictly necessary cookies is set until you tell us it is allowed. You choose using the consent banner shown on your first visit, and you can change your mind at any time.

3. Types of Cookies We Use

  • Strictly Necessary Cookies: Required for authentication, session management, and security (for example, keeping you signed in and protecting against cross-site request forgery). This also includes the small cookie that records your cookie choice itself. The Service cannot function without these, so they cannot be switched off.
  • Preference Cookies: Remember your settings such as light/dark theme and dashboard layout choices to improve your experience.
  • Analytics Cookies (optional): Set only with your consent. We use a first-party identifier to count visits, measure which pages are useful, and understand where people get stuck. If we have enabled Google Analytics, its cookies also fall into this category.
  • Marketing Cookies (optional): Set only with your consent, and used to measure the effectiveness of our campaigns. This category covers any advertising or social media pixel we may run.
  • Functional Storage: We use browser local storage for non-tracking purposes, such as remembering your active team/account context within the dashboard.

4. What We Never Do

  • Sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
  • Use data-broker or profiling cookies.
  • Set analytics or marketing cookies before you have agreed to them, or after you have withdrawn that agreement.
  • Track what you do inside your private dashboard for advertising purposes.

5. Third-Party Services

Some essential providers may set their own cookies when you interact with their features on our site:

  • Stripe: Sets cookies during checkout for fraud prevention and secure payment processing.
  • Cloudflare: May set security cookies to protect against malicious traffic and DDoS attacks.

These cookies are governed by the respective providers' privacy and cookie policies.

6. Managing Cookies

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time — it is just as easy to opt out as it was to opt in. Use the button below, or the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer of every page.

Most browsers also let you view, manage, and delete cookies through their own settings, and can be configured to block or alert you about cookies. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in or using key parts of the Service.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, legislation, or our practices. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.

8. Contact Us
